Inotani Sekishokan Museum

The Inotani Sekisho, an old Toyama domain checking station
This museum was built at the site of the old Inotani Sekisho (checkpoint) that separated Hida and Etchu at a strategic point along the main road. Ancient documents etc. showing the coming and going of people and things through the checking point are on display. There is also a large model of the checkpoint and a basket ferry, allowing you to become familiar with the travels of people during those days.
