Summer has arrived! SUNFLOWER Toyama Station 2026

In the hot summer sun, the sunflowers stand tall and proud, blooming with strength.
Sunflowers have been designated as the official flower of Toyama City.
In front of Toyama City Hall, small, cute sunflowers and sunflowers that are yet to bloom brightly adorn the entrance to the building.

As July began in Toyama City, the weather quickly turned summery, and hot days continued.
An event like this will be held around Toyama Station 🌻

SUNFLOWER Toyama Station 2026

From July 25th (Sat) to August 21st (Fri), the area around Toyama Station will be brightly decorated with various sunflowers!
On the 25th, the opening day, special events will be held, including a handmade fan workshop and a calligraphy performance.

We are now accepting entries for our painting contest, open to middle school students and younger!

The works selected from the entries through a judging process will be exhibited in the Overd Hall's main hall.
The exhibition starts on September 5th, so you can probably feel the lingering traces of summer in the exhibited works.

In addition, with events such as "Sunflower Light-Up" and "Sunflower Installation," the vibrant yellow of sunflowers is sure to make the area around Toyama Station as bright as the summer sun!

Furthermore, a streetcar wrapped in the "Toyama pattern" design will be in operation for a limited time.

The photo above was taken after the rain, but even under cloudy skies, the sight of a streetcar wrapped in a sunflower pattern brightens up the surroundings.
