Toyama Castle / History Museum

A spot not to be missed while sightseeing within Toyama City
Toyama Castle was occupied by Narimasa Sassa and the Toyama daimyo Maeda family. The castle and surrounds are maintained as Toyama Castle Park; a place to relax and refresh for citizens and travelers alike. The excellent history museum explains the history of Toyama Castle through archeological materials, maps, and reconstructions, and provides an excellent view of the downtown area from the tower balcony.
