Illusory fireworks and floating lanterns gently illuminate the summer night.

The lights of the "fire-floating" ceremony illuminating the river surface create a fantastical atmosphere on the quiet summer night.
This location offers a spectacular view of the fireworks from right beside the bridge.
A night in which a heartwarming story comes alive: a "festival celebrating the bridge" that has continued since the Meiji era.

The Mizuhashi Bridge Festival, held in Mizuhashi, Toyama City in July, will be celebrating its 158th anniversary this year.
This summer event, which has been cherished and passed down through generations in the region, began in 2 to celebrate the construction of a bridge over the Shiraiwa River.

The main attraction is the "floating fire" display, which is rare even nationwide.
The sight of old cotton soaked in environmentally friendly biofuel being lit and then floated down the river in a small boat evokes a sense of solemnity and beauty unique to Mizuhashi.

As night deepens, the fireworks display begins.
Starbursts and underwater fireworks are launched one after another, and the lights reflected on the river surface shimmer, creating a breathtakingly magical moment.

This festival, perfect for a leisurely stroll in a yukata, leaves a gentle and lasting impression of summer's charm.
