13Masu Sushi Tasting Set / Hotel JAL City Toyama
Find your favorite "masu sushi": A unique Toyama tasting experience.
This is an experience where you can "compare" different versions of Toyama's famous "masu sushi" (trout sushi) on the same tray.
The venue is "Cafe Contrail" on the 1st floor of Hotel JAL City Toyama, located right next to Toyama Station.
You can choose from 2, 4, 6, or 8 types of trout sushi from member stores of the Toyama Trout Sushi Cooperative Association, allowing you to clearly see the individuality of each store, such as the way the vinegared rice is seasoned, the balance of sweetness and saltiness, and the thickness and pressing of the trout.
The process of "articulating the differences" while referring to the special chart is also enjoyable, making it more than just a simple eating experience. You're sure to find your "favorite bottle (or box)" along the way.
