Fugan Canal Kansui Park Enjoyment Tour / Volunteer Tourist Guide
Approximately a 10-minute walk from Toyama Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen line!
Kansui Park is an urban oasis created by utilizing the boat basin of the Fugan Canal, and it has now become one of the leading tourist attractions in the Hokuriku region, attracting a great deal of visitors.
Furthermore, at the newly established Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art, you can admire world-famous paintings, and from the rooftop garden, you can enjoy panoramic views of Kansui Park and the magnificent Tateyama mountain range. While strolling through the park, an experienced guide will explain the history of flood control and urban development learned from Toyama City's past floods, as well as highlights of the area. In addition to the Kansui Park walking course described below, there are also Nakajima Lock Gate walking courses and courses utilizing the popular Suijo Line.
