Tea Ceremony Experience / Enzan-an Tea Room
A moment to unwind in the tranquility of a tea room nestled in the mountains.
At Maruyama-an, a tea house located in a corner of the Toyama City Folk Art Village, you can enjoy a casual matcha tea experience.
Since it's served in a standing tea ceremony area, one of its attractions is that you can enjoy the matcha while sitting in a chair without having to kneel or take off your shoes.
Enjoying a cup of tea with some sweets is a moment of relaxation and rejuvenation amidst sightseeing and strolling.
Immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere of the Folk Art Village and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a while, enjoying a relaxing time.
Maruyama-an is a tea house built by the tea master Kaneko Soho, and the building incorporates a variety of ingenious design elements.
In the tea room at the back, you can see Mount Tateyama from the window on a clear day, and the space itself, where architecture and nature harmonize, is a major highlight.
A place where you can discover a quiet side of Toyama, different from the typical tourist spots in the city center.
In addition to strolling through the Folk Art Village, we highly recommend enjoying a cup of tea at Maruyama-an as a tranquil experience typical of Toyama.
