Painting experience / Toyama clay doll workshop
Create your own unique clay doll through a painting experience.
At the "Toyama Clay Doll Workshop," located in a corner of the Toyama City Folk Art Village, you can easily enjoy the experience of painting Toyama clay dolls, a traditional craft of Toyama.
The experience uses unglazed clay figurines with a gentle texture.
Using paints and brushes, you choose colors and paint freely.
As you work with your hands, expressions gradually emerge, and you'll have a one-of-a-kind, original clay doll.
Completed works can be taken home on the same day.
It's perfect for creating travel memories, sharing experiences with children, or simply for adults who want some quiet, focused time.
[Example of a doll that can be painted]
