Iwasehama Beach is easily accessible by streetcar, and you can also enjoy strolling around the town of Iwase. Yaetsuhama Beach offers opportunities to enjoy marine sports.

Iwasehama Beach
Beach opening period: July 1, 2026 (Wednesday) to late August
A beach with views of the Tateyama mountain range, accessible by streetcar.
Located about 25 minutes from Toyama Station on the Toyama Port Line, and about a 5-minute walk from Iwasehama Station, this beach is easily accessible.
On a clear day, you can see the Tateyama mountain range across Toyama Bay from this beach with its white sand and pine trees. Before or after swimming, you can also enjoy strolling through the townscape of Iwase, which flourished as a port town for Kitamae ships.
At the beachside tea house "Eirakuso," you can use the showers, changing rooms, rental equipment, and luggage storage. Barbecues are only permitted in designated areas managed by Eirakuso.

Swimming at Yaezuhama Beach
Beach season: July 1st (Wed) to September 13th (Sun), 2026
A beach where you can enjoy marine sports and barbecues.
This is a beach located on the west side of the Jinzu River, adjacent to Shiohama Beach Park.
In addition to swimming, you can also enjoy marine sports such as windsurfing and boat sailing. The beach is open until September 13th (tentative), which is a relatively long period, making it a great option for those who want to head to the beach at the end of summer.
In addition to the seasonal beach hut "Diamond Head Yaetsu," there are also permanent beach houses. Showers and rental equipment are available, and barbecues are only permitted in designated areas.
