Take a moment to relax and find peace of mind at a museum with a tea room.

Nestled in the tranquility of Toyama Castle Park, the Toyama City Sato Memorial Museum of Art offers a "tea ceremony experience" where you can immerse yourself in Japanese tea culture.

At the tea ceremony room on the first floor of the building, we serve carefully prepared thin matcha tea along with seasonal Japanese sweets.
Taking time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and surrendering to leisurely movements and a quiet flow of time, naturally calms the mind.

Furthermore, the museum also houses the tea rooms "Jo-an" and "Ryuteian," which were relocated from the Sato family residence, as well as a shoin-style drawing room made entirely of cypress wood. The space itself, where the world of tea ceremony harmonizes with art and architecture, is a major attraction.

Despite being in the heart of the city, it possesses a tranquil atmosphere that feels like a world apart.
In between sightseeing, be sure to enjoy a tranquil experience unique to Toyama: a tea ceremony at the Sato Memorial Museum of Art.
