Wakaba offers a variety of traditional Japanese sweets, including taiyaki, dango, and anmitsu.
Having trained at one of Tokyo's "Big Three" taiyaki shops, this shop has been preserving the taste it inherited from a branch of that renowned establishment for half a century.
A summer staple is ice water. The coarsely shaved ice has a refreshing crunch that helps to beat the intense summer heat.
Among them, the most popular is the menu item with "Kintoki" in the name. The bottom of the bowl is filled with plenty of their proud red bean paste, the same paste used in their taiyaki.
Its somewhat nostalgic flavor has been loved ever since, and remains unchanged.

From Dentetsu Toyama Station, which is adjacent to Toyama Station, take the Toyama Chihō Railway Fujikoshi-Kamitaki Line for about 8 minutes. Get off at Fujikoshi Station and it's about a 1-minute walk.
It's about a 15-minute drive from the Toyama Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway.
