A city space imbued with history and culture
Toyama City central area (around the station and downtown)
The city center of Toyama is the hub for sightseeing in Toyama. A modern landscape with streetcars runs through it, yet the history of a castle town still breathes within it. It's also known as a city of medicine and glass. Cultural and artistic facilities, such as the Toyama Glass Museum, which attracts attention from both domestic and international visitors, are compactly located here. North of Toyama Station, a beautiful waterfront area unfolds, centered around the Fugan Canal Kansui Park.

Toyama Bay area (Iwase, Mizuhashi, Yokata)
Iwase, located on Toyama Bay, is a port town that flourished as a port of call for Kitamae ships. You can enjoy strolling through the charming streets, lined with the houses of former shipping agents, sake breweries, galleries, and restaurants that retain the atmosphere of that era. The beautiful Iwasehama Beach, with its white sand and green pine trees, is bustling with swimmers in the summer. Fresh seafood caught at the fishing ports of Iwase, Mizuhashi, and Shikata is also a must-try.

Kureha area
This area, centered around the Kureha Hills, boasts abundant nature and beautiful views. The Tateyama mountain range and Toyama city, as seen from the Kurehayama Park Observation Deck, offer different scenery depending on the season. There are plenty of spots for people of all ages to enjoy, from children to adults, including facilities where you can experience making glass and clay figurines, and the Toyama City Family Park where you can interact with animals. Osawano and Hosoiri area
Located in the southern part of Toyama City, this area offers dynamic scenery centered around the pristine Jinzu River and the Jinzu Gorge, shaped over many years. The beauty of the gorge, which changes its appearance with each season—from fresh greenery and autumn leaves to snowscapes—is breathtaking. Nearby, you'll find Jike Park, famous for its cherry blossoms and autumn leaves, and Kasuga Onsenkyo, a hot spring resort where you can enjoy overnight stays or day trips, allowing you to refresh your mind and body in nature.

Oyama area
This nature-rich outdoor area spreads out at the foot of the Tateyama mountain range. At the Tateyama Foothills Ski Resort, you can enjoy a variety of activities, from trekking and forest therapy during the green season to skiing and snow play during the winter season. There are also hot springs and campgrounds scattered around the area. As the gateway to the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, it leads visitors into a magnificent mountain world.
From traditional festivals to rural landscapes
Fuchu, Yatsuo, Yamada area
Yao, with its beautiful cobblestone streets that retain the atmosphere of the Edo period, is nationally famous for the "Owara Kaze no Bon" festival held in September. In Fuchu, you can explore botanical gardens and historical sites, while in Yamada, you can enjoy camping and skiing. The area is also rich in local specialties such as apples, grapes, soba noodles, wine, and local sake. It is an area where you can experience the blessings of the countryside and encounter the unique character of each region.
