Kureha Pear Monaka / Takimido Pear Sweets
Souvenirs
Japanese sweets that allow you to enjoy Kureha pears all year round.
"Nashi no Ka Takimido" is a confectionery shop in Kureha, Toyama City, an area known for its abundant production of Kosui pears, that makes sweets that allow you to enjoy the sweetness and juiciness of these pears all year round.
The signature product, "Kureha Pear Monaka," is a monaka (wafer cake) shaped like a pear, filled with two layers of Dainagon bean paste and white bean paste, and topped with a piece of Kosui pear from Kureha.
A gentle sweetness is complemented by a subtle, mellow fruity flavor. It has also won awards at the National Confectionery Exhibition.
Other items available in the shop include "Kureha Pear Pie" and "Kombu Tofu," among other sweets unique to Kureha and Toyama.
