Galerie Millet
An art museum in the heart of the city where you can encounter the world of Millet. A time for peaceful reflection and tranquility.
Located in a corner of the Chuo-dori shopping street in Toyama City, "Galerie Millet" is a small art museum that, despite being in the heart of the city, offers a sudden sense of tranquility.
This is a luxurious space where you can slowly and up close appreciate masterpieces by artists such as Jean-François Millet, as well as other Barbizon School and Realist painters.
You can experience a gentle gaze toward nature and humanity, as symbolized by Millet's "The Gleaners," as well as encounter realistic paintings by artists such as Courbet and Corot that soothe the soul.
Furthermore, the museum hosts special exhibitions that connect art with the local community, such as photography exhibitions, printmaking exhibitions, and children's art exhibitions, offering new discoveries with every visit. It's also a recommended museum for a "high-quality detour" between shopping.
