Toyama Prefectural Gokoku Shrine, located close to the center of Toyama City, presents a tranquil atmosphere.
This historic shrine, revered as the "guardian deity" of Toyama, enshrines those who died in wars from the Meiji Restoration to the Greater East Asia War.

The main approach to the shrine, which stretches straight east from the torii gate, is lined with ginkgo trees for about 500 meters, and in autumn the entire area turns a vibrant golden color.
With the clear sky in the background, you can also see Mount Tsurugi beginning to be covered in snow, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene that will make you want to take pictures.

Within the temple grounds lies the Isa Yushi Shrine, dedicated to those who lost their lives in the Toyama air raids, and a quiet atmosphere permeates the place, making you want to offer a silent prayer.
The shrine, rebuilt after the war, is one of the most representative places of worship in Toyama City.

On the first Sunday of every month, the famous "Toyama Flea Market" is held, offering the fun of searching for antiques and miscellaneous goods.
Furthermore, during the summer's "Kitanippon Shimbun Summer Fireworks Festival," the sight of fireworks rising beyond the torii gate creates a fantastical scene, making it a popular photo spot among locals.

A sacred space in the heart of the city, vividly reflecting the changing seasons.
If you're looking for a moment to be enveloped in tranquility, please do visit.
