This comprehensive exhibition showcases papers from around the world, allowing visitors to experience the depth and diversity of paper.

Finding cute souvenirs like Yao washi paper goods and accessories that you'll want to take home is also a fun experience.

A special time to try your hand at papermaking (reservations required) and create your own unique Japanese paper.

"Yao Washi," a traditional Japanese paper made by hand for generations, is a representative paper of Toyama Prefecture and is designated as a national traditional craft. Its simple and gentle texture, and the warmth of its feel against the skin, continue to captivate the hearts of many people.

The Keijusha Washi Library is the perfect place to fully experience the charm of Yao washi paper. Located in a building that was relocated along the Idagawa River from a former mountain school, it houses a wide array of paper, paper products, and folk crafts from around the world, giving it the feel of a "world paper museum." A rich selection of everyday items and small goods made with Yao washi paper are also available, and you can purchase your favorites on the spot.

If you make a reservation, you can also experience papermaking. The time spent making a sheet of paper with your own hands amidst the tranquil atmosphere of the mountain village will become a special memory of your trip.

Access	Take the JR Takayama Line from Toyama Station (approximately 25 minutes) → Get off at Etchu-Yatsuo Station. Take the Toyama City Community Bus "Yatsuo Loop Line (counterclockwise)" from Etchu-Yatsuo Station (approximately 6 minutes) → Get off at "Kamishinmachi-guchi" and walk for about 2 minutes. Approximately 30 minutes on foot from Etchu-Yatsuo Station. Approximately 25 minutes from the Hokuriku Expressway "Toyama IC" or "Toyama-Nishi IC".
