Koshinokuni Museum of Literature

Sightseeing

From Otomo no Yakamochi to Fujiko F. Fujio. A gateway to Toyama's literature, connecting the history of our hometown.

A literary museum where you can experience the world of writers associated with Toyama, from Otomo no Yakamochi to Fujiko F. Fujio.
An interactive exhibit using video and audio, allowing you to "experience the story with all five senses."
The permanent and special exhibitions each have different themes, so you can discover something new every time you visit.
A quiet and comfortable space surrounded by the open, glass-walled architecture and the greenery of the garden.

The Koshino-kuni Literature Museum is a tranquil museum where you can gently experience the works and writers associated with Toyama, from the Manyo period to the present day.
This book gently introduces the world of words and stories that have been loved across generations, including those of Otomo no Yakamochi, a poet from the Manyoshu anthology, as well as works by Yoshiie Hotta and Fujiko F. Fujio.

The museum's permanent exhibitions are packed with features that engage all five senses, including videos, audio, and a "digital picture scroll" using the latest technology.
The appeal lies in the fact that people of all ages, from children to adults, can enjoy literature not just by "reading" it, but by "experiencing" it.

Special exhibitions, lectures, and events are held regularly, making it a place where you can encounter new stories every time you visit.
It's perfect for a day out when you want to slowly immerse yourself in the world of books.
