Kurehayama Park Observation Deck
A representative scenic spot in Toyama offering panoramic views of the Tateyama mountain range.
Kurehayama is a small hill that rises to the west of the center of Toyama City.
From the Kurehayama Park Observation Deck at the summit, a breathtaking panoramic view unfolds, bathed in light and surrounded by vast skies, encompassing the Tateyama mountain range to the east, Toyama Bay to the north, and even the Noto Peninsula in the distance.
The snow-capped Tateyama mountain range looks most beautiful from November to June.
On a clear day, the majestic mountain range stretches out in the distance beyond the town, creating a view that truly deserves to be called a "prime seat for gazing at Mount Tateyama."
This is also a popular photo spot where you can capture the "miraculous collaboration" of the Hokuriku Shinkansen and the Tateyama mountain range.
The sight of the silver train speeding along against the backdrop of mountains is like a poster, so beautiful that you can't help but want to take a picture.
In spring, it's a popular spot for cherry blossoms, and at night, the city lights sparkle, making it a place that changes its appearance between day and night, which is one of its charms.
Nearby are cultural spots such as a folk art village and the Five Hundred Arhats, making it a recommended, gentle walking course where you can enjoy both nature and history.
