Twenty-eight sculptures scattered along the Matsukawa River add a touch of art to the floral scenery.
The cherry blossom trees viewed from the Matsukawa pleasure boat offer a breathtaking view that feels far removed from the city center.
Enjoy a pleasant stroll along the Matsukawa River, adorned with fresh greenery.
Perfect for a stroll through the city, as you can easily visit Toyama Castle Park and Toyama City Glass Art Museum on foot.

The Matsukawa River, which flows through the center of Toyama City, is one of the city's premier cherry blossom viewing spots, with approximately 500 Somei Yoshino cherry trees blooming along a 2.5km stretch in spring.

The cherry tree-lined street, selected as one of "Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots," is charming for its "cherry blossom tunnel" that gently stretches along the river, and the view of the blossoms from the bridge is exceptional.

From dusk to night, the area is illuminated, making the reflection of the cherry blossoms on the water even more magical. Just taking a stroll here will soothe your soul with the signs of spring.

The promenade features the "Matsukawa Riverside Sculpture Park," with 28 sculptures scattered along a 1km stretch, making for a pleasant stroll where flowers and art coexist. For those who prefer to enjoy the scenery from the waterfront, a cruise on the Matsukawa River (Toyama Castle Historical Cruise) is also recommended.
