Prefectural Park Nature Museum Neinosato
See, walk, touch, and learn about life. Neinosato Nature Museum.
"Nei no Sato Nature Museum" is one of the prefectural parks developed to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the prefecture's establishment. It opened in 1981 as a place where people can learn while getting close to nature. Utilizing the exhibition hall and the expansive broadleaf forest, it conveys the importance of nature conservation through interaction and experiences with nature.
Within the park's forest, there is a nature trail approximately 2 km long, a biotope inhabited by Hokuriku salamanders, medaka fish, dragonflies, and other creatures, and a rest area.
In addition to various exhibits, the exhibition hall allows visitors to interact with small creatures such as lizards, pet stuffed bears and serows, and take pictures with them. The hall also hosts nature-themed events every month.
Additionally, the facility includes a "Wildlife Protection Center" that protects injured or weakened wild birds and animals, aiming for their return to the wild.
You can observe them through the observation window, which can also be an opportunity to reflect on the importance of life and death.
