Oyama History and Folklore Museum
Sightseeing
The Daisen Learning Museum: Where stories of mountains, rivers, and people intertwine.
The Oyama Historical and Folk Museum is a museum that comprehensively introduces the history and nature of the Oyama area, including the "Three Sages of Oyama" (Uji Chojiro, Kanayama Bokusho, and Banryu Shonin), the life and culture of Arimine, flood control and power generation on the Joganji River, the Kamegai Silver Mine and Nagato Lead Mine, and dinosaur exhibits.
One of the highlights is the wooden guardian lion statues associated with Arimine (a city-designated tangible folk cultural property).
With accompanying video materials, it's a fun and educational experience for both children and adults.
