Take a moment to relax with a tea ceremony experience featuring seasonal Japanese sweets and matcha green tea.
The view of Toyama Castle from inside the building is as beautiful as a painting.
Combine it with a visit to the castle ruins park for a fulfilling day enjoying history, art, and tea.

The Toyama City Sato Memorial Museum of Art stands quietly within Toyama Castle Park.
Based on the collection of Sukekuro Sato, a businessman and tea master from Tonami City, this museum offers a refined experience of East Asian ancient art, including early modern Japanese paintings and crafts, as well as Southeast Asian ceramics.

In addition to the exhibition rooms, there are the tea rooms "Sukean" and "Ryuteian," which were relocated from the Sato family residence, as well as a shoin-style drawing room made entirely of cypress wood, creating a space where the worldview of the artworks and Japan's "tea culture" naturally become one.
Quiet time gently calms the mind.

You can also experience a tea ceremony inside the building, where you can relax with seasonal sweets and matcha tea.
You can enjoy a special moment where time flows slowly, even while in the heart of the city.
