Toyama Port Observation Deck
A panoramic view of Toyama Bay and Mount Tateyama unfolds at the top of the spiral staircase.
The Toyama Port Observation Deck stands straight along the coast of Iwase.
Its gentle appearance, inspired by the permanent lanterns of the local Kotohira Shrine, blends seamlessly into the port town's landscape.
At the top of the 107 steps of the spiral staircase lies a small observation space bathed in gentle light.
You can enjoy panoramic views of Toyama Port and the townscape of Iwase, and on clear days, the view extends all the way to the Tateyama mountain range and the Noto Peninsula.
The scenery, bathed in the orange hues of twilight, is so beautiful it makes you want to take a deep breath.
Visiting Iwase Canal Hall, Mori House, and Baba House together makes this a perfect stop for a stroll, allowing you to fully experience the charm of this port town.
