Located in the heart of Toyama City, the Toyama City Science Museum is a museum that gently spreads the joy of science through Toyama's nature and the everyday wonders of the world.

The museum offers a wealth of exhibits that clearly explain the topography, climate, and the lives of various creatures, allowing visitors to learn through seeing and touching. Adults alike will find themselves captivated by a "time of discovery."

In the first-floor renovation in March 2026, we added new exhibits that adults can enjoy, such as a display of beautiful rocks and fossils, a skeleton of an armored dinosaur, and a projection mapping device that teaches about the Earth.

The planetarium inside the building boasts a beautiful starry sky recreated with approximately 1 million stars and impressive full-dome projections.
In addition to viewing seasonal constellations and the latest images of the universe, you can enjoy a variety of programs in a relaxed dome setting, from children's animations to science programs for adults.

This science museum is perfect for family outings or for enjoying some alone time to relax.

Usage Fees	Adults 530 yen (420 yen) ※ Free for high school students and younger Admission is free for couples aged 16 and over on Saturdays. The price in parentheses is for groups of 20 or more.
Holiday	The museum will be temporarily closed during the New Year's holiday period (December 28th to January 4th).

Access	From Toyama Station (South Exit), take the tram bound for "Minami-Toyama Station" (approximately 12 minutes) → Get off at "Nishinakano" tram stop, then walk for approximately 7 minutes. From Toyama Station (South Exit), take the Toyama Chihō Railway Bus (Platform 5, Tatsuo Danchi/International University/Sasazu/Toyama National College of Technology route) → Get off at "Nishinakanoguchi" and walk for about 1 minute. Approximately 8 minutes from the Toyama Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway towards the city center.
