Sightseeing

A museum that serves as a base for your trip to get to know and enjoy Yatsuo.

A space where you can fully appreciate the "splendor" of Yatsuo, with three magnificent floats on permanent display.
In the exhibit corner that tells the history of sericulture, you can learn about the story of the industry that supported the town of Yatsuo.
The "Wind Stage," held on the second Saturday of each month from April to November, offers a special opportunity to experience live Owara dance.
The shop offers a variety of Owara and float-related goods and local specialties, making it fun to choose souvenirs that are uniquely Yatsuo.
A cultural hub where you can experience Yatsuo's "beauty, craftsmanship, and sound" all at once, making it a highly worthwhile place to visit.

The Yatsuo Hikiyama Exhibition Hall is a museum packed with the history and festival culture of Yatsuo.
The museum permanently displays three magnificent festival floats, a testament to the wealth and craftsmanship of the people of Yatsuo. These floats, showcasing the pinnacle of art and craftsmanship through carving, metalwork, lacquerware, and gold leaf, have been designated cultural properties of Toyama Prefecture.

In the sericulture exhibit, which once supported Yatsuo's industry, visitors can learn about life in the mountain village and the Yatsuo that flourished as a "town of thread."

From April to November, on the second Saturday of each month, the "Kaze no Bon Stage" is held in the hall inside the building.
Owara dances are performed to the accompaniment of live shamisen and kokyu music, allowing you to enjoy the world of Owara even outside of festival season.

The shop is lined with goods themed around Owara and the floats, including DVDs, CDs, postcards, and hand towels, as well as local products from Yatsuo.
This is the perfect spot for souvenirs and mementos of your trip.
